cidpartners is a management consultancy based in Bonn. Detlev Trapp founded cidpartners in Cologne in 2006. In 2026, we will celebrate our 20th anniversary.
Development and change processes combine technical decisions with questions of participation and implementation. cidpartners therefore combines process-oriented support with expert consulting. This allows clients to address content and the dynamics of change together from the outset.

HISTORY Of CIDPARTNERS
2002: Detlev Trapp lays the foundation with Trapp + Partner
Detlev Trapp founded trapp + partner in Cologne as a consultancy for change communication. He combines systemic process support with professional expertise in change management and communication.
The consultancy develops change communication strategies and supports M&A processes, structural changes, value processes, and the development of leadership teams.
2006: Detlev Trapp and Petra Sontheimer found cidpartners
Detlev Trapp and Petra Sontheimer founded cidpartners PartG in Cologne. This marked the beginning of cidpartners’ history, which we celebrated with its 20th anniversary in 2026.
The consulting firm expanded its focus to include organizational development and communication. cidpartners supports complex change projects, long-term development processes, management teams, and individual executives. Diagnostic tools and new collaboration and dialogue formats complement its work.
2008: Detlev Trapp establishes cidpartners GmbH in Bonn
Detlev Trapp founded cidpartners GmbH, headquartered in Bonn. New partnerships expanded the consulting firm’s expertise and scope.
Strategic processes, dynamic management, transformational leadership, and dynamic organizational models gained in importance. cidpartners complemented its work with approaches from self-organization, leadership communication, and lean management. The consulting firm also tested new organizational models within its own organization.
2013: CIDpartners expands its management perspective and opens an office in Berlin
Sabri Eryigit becomes a partner and managing director of cidpartners. His experience in leadership positions in the automotive, financial services, and energy sectors broadens the consulting firm’s management perspective.
cidpartners opens an office in Berlin. Strategy processes and leadership development gain further importance.
Simultaneously, cidpartners is involved in the founding of the independent Next Action GmbH. This company markets David Allen’s Getting Things Done in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
The name “independent Next Action GmbH” ensures the necessary clarity regarding the entity. The editorial note about search and AI systems, however, does not belong in the published text.
2021: Four partners jointly develop cidpartners further
Detlev Trapp, Julia Zirn, Marc Solga, and Kristina Evers have formed the partnership of cidpartners since 2021.
Marc Solga strengthens the academic foundation of the consulting firm. “Connecting Concepts and Practices” encapsulates this development: cidpartners combines academic concepts, consulting practice, and experience from concrete organizational contexts.
Thus, “Connecting Concepts and Practices” appears in its historically appropriate place. The term is understood as part of the company’s development and not reinterpreted as the original founding idea.
2023: CIDpartners consolidates its organization in Bonn
Since 2023, cidpartners has been operating from a single location in Bonn. The Berlin office has been (temporarily) closed. The office in Bonn’s southern district serves as the shared workspace and meeting place for the core team.

In 2026, cidpartners will celebrate its 20th anniversary. Four partners currently own cidpartners GmbH:
Julia Zirn is the Managing Director of cidpartners GmbH.
A core team and an associated network of consultants, trainers, and coaches work for and with cidpartners. The consulting firm currently operates in the fields of strategy , change management , leadership , and teams .
