Design Thinking

Design Thinking is a holistic and user-oriented way of solving problems.

Its main concern is to balance the three factors human being, technology and business, with the aim to develop innovative ideas, products and services.

At the core of the “Design Thinking” concept is a change of perspective to look at things from the client’s side. The needs and the motivation of both employees and clients take center stage. Through observing and questioning clients on site, it is possible to immerse oneself into their world, aiming at experiencing it firsthand.

Cooperation will take place in interdisciplinary teams which will be involved in the project for the whole of its duration. Key elements of the process are Storytelling, Visualization (e.g. sketching or prototyping) and the collective further development of ideas. The Design Thinking method is characterized by a high tolerance for mistakes, experimenting, fast development of prototypes and observation of mundane tasks. In addition, it includes the involvement of heavy users or clients from completely different target groups.

When working together with our clients, we at cidpartners use Design Thinking particularly in cases when the task is to try to either get to the bottom of existing solutions or to turn them inside out.
